Michael moved down to Charleston about 2 years ago to start medical school and pursue his dream of becoming a pediatrician. Martial arts have been a big part of his life since he participated in Taekwondo throughout his childhood, but he found his true passion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu when he began training at Black Label Martial Arts shortly after moving down to Charleston. Since then, he’s gained a lot more confidence than he ever had and met a lot of new friends. He has also now begun competing in BJJ tournaments, and most recently receiving his blue belt under Professor Friedman. He plans to continue honing his skills and competing at future tournaments while also sharing his passion by helping to coach the little foxes and fox champs.
