Former collegiate football athlete, Jarret Smotrila, was a four-year starter with an impressive record including All-Conference Honors Player of the Week ; NCAA National Defensive Back of the Week; and holder of the Interception Return Yardage Record for his university.
After college, Jarret moved into MMA training with the same fierce competitive spirit. He holds a 6-2 record and a Welterweight Title Bout. He was formally introduced to Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the spring of 2010, received his Blue Belt in 2010, his Purple Belt in 2012, and his Brown Belt in 2014. Jarret received his Black Belt from Malachy Friedman under Ricardo Liborio in 2017.
